Between the days 22-29 November, coinciding with the celebration of the International Puppet Festival in the city of Tolosa (Spain), “Titirijai 2014”, ART TOY GAMA Collective have organized in GKO Gallery http://www.gko-gallery.com –Tolosa-, an ART TOY exhibition entitled "The truth of Pinocchio. A different way of storytelling" and will participate artists from Japan, USA, Italy, France, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Canada, Indonesia and Spain.

The
story of Carlo Collody was a great inspiration when creating the toys
for the
exhibition "The truth about Pinocchio"
as I wanted to show two key moments in this tragic story.

The first Art Toy, "Solstice", shows a lively and proud Pinocchio,
and represents the first years before becoming Pinocchio
a puppet.
This Art Toy reflects the "real", the natural, the pure spirit of a being,
a reflection of the intact innocence at the beginning of life.

The second toy, "Equinox" is the vision of the last minutes in the life of Pinocchio,
who destroyed by greed
and guilt decides to end his life
to silence the voice
of conscience, "Jiminy Cricket,"
who is killed by Pinocchio as he was an
obstacle to their ambitions.
Because
at the end of his days Pinocchio is a corrupt
and alienated being
who lied and killed anyone who crosses his
goals.

For this show I have used MR.MALACOPIA!
This versatile character allows the application of various techniques
for customization.
They are Art Toys manufactured
and fully textured
and
painted by hand and with airbrushed
and with kitbash applications.
